This year, Voodoo Doughnut is teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) to celebrate National Doughnut Day.
On Friday, June 4, Voodoo Doughnut will offer a custom version of its fan-favorite doughnut, the Homer’s, for just $1 in-store, online, and for delivery, with a portion of proceeds from the Homer’s sales going to AFA.
The $1 Homer’s will be available at participating Voodoo Doughnut locations in Portland, Milwaukee and Eugene, OR; Austin and Houston, TX; and Denver, CO.
“In today’s world, it’s hard to find a family that hasn’t been impacted by a loved one living with Alzheimer’s or some form of dementia,” said Chris Schultz, CEO of Voodoo Doughnut.
“Alzheimer’s Foundation of America was founded nearly 20 years ago by a caregiver whose mother suffered from Alzheimer’s disease to provide resources for all those affected by it. We are honored to support their mission by donating a portion of the proceeds from every Homer Doughnut sold on National Doughnut Day.”
“Alzheimer’s Foundation of America is grateful to Voodoo Doughnut and its customers for their support and willingness to give back to others,” said Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr., President and CEO of Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
Their generosity will help fund valuable programs and services that help families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related conditions get help in their time of need.”
Since 2019, Voodoo Doughnut has donated more than $85,000 to nonprofits through its giving campaign.
