Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has announced that its popular Strawberry Original Frosted Donut will return for one weekend, Friday, May 30, through Sunday, June 1.
Fans can unlock the return of this fan-favorite donut simply by helping Krispy Kreme reach the “High Score.” From May 12 to 18, Krispy Kreme will be giving away 45,000 free Original Frosted Donuts during the “Hot Light” event.
The giveaway is part of the chain’s celebration of PAC-MAN’s 45th birthday and his love of fruit.
Krispy Kreme introduced the Strawberry Glazed Donut in 2020 and last served in August 2023. This will be the fourth time Krispy Kreme has introduced the Strawberry Glazed Donut – the Original Glazed Donut is refreshed with a bright strawberry glaze and sweet strawberry flavor.
The donuts will be available in-store and for pick-up or delivery at participating stores through the Krispy Kreme app and website.
Friday through Sunday, Krispy Kreme fans can get a dozen strawberry glazed donuts for $5 when they purchase any dozen regular-priced strawberry glazed donuts.
In addition to the strawberry glazed donuts, fans can continue to enjoy the Krispy Kreme x PAC-MAN collection for a limited time, with new donuts inspired by the game character, including the PAC-MAN Party donut, TEAM GHOST donut, and the Strawberry Power Berry donut.
This Thursday, May 22, Krispy Kreme will celebrate PAC-MAN’s official birthday by getting a dozen free donuts for just 25 cents when you purchase a dozen regular-priced original glazed donuts.
