Dunkin’ Donuts fans can enjoy a new way to enjoy the delicious taste of coffee without having to take a sip.
This week, popular trail mix brand Kar’s Nuts announced it is partnering with Dunkin’ to create two new trail mixes inspired by “Dunkin’s most popular flavors.”
Those flavors include Kar’s x Dunkin’ Caramel Cold Brew Trail Mix, which the company says is perfect for “those who love a little crunch in their coffee.” The trail mix combines roasted salted peanuts, crunchy buttery toffee peanuts, pink, orange and white cocoa candies, and “Dunkin’ flavored caramel cold brew almonds for a rich caramel coffee experience,” the company explains, adding, “No barista required.”
Then there’s the Kar’s X Dunkin’ Frosted Donut with Sugar Puff Trail Mix, which the company describes as “the classic frosted donut, reimagined as the ultimate snack.” It contains the same roasted and buttery toffee peanuts, and pink, orange, and white cocoa candies, but this time, it’s topped with Dunkin’-style frosted donut-flavored almonds.
“We’re so excited to be working with Dunkin’ on these next-level trail mixes,” said Jennifer Bauer, chief marketing officer at Second Nature Brands, in a statement provided to Food & Wine. “These trail mixes combine the nostalgic flavor of Dunkin’ with the signature sweet and crunchy flavor of Kar’s. Whether you’re a coffee lover, donut lover, or someone who just loves to snack, these trail mixes will become your new favorite.”
Currently, the trail mixes are available at select retailers across the U.S., as well as on Amazon and KarsNuts.com.
But wait, there’s more good news for Dunkin’ fans. Every time you buy Kar’s x Dunkin’ trail mix, you’ll earn points through the Dunkin’ At-Home Extras program to use on your next Dunkin’ purchase (you can sign up at dunkinextras.com).
However, that’s not the only thing Dunkin’ fans can look forward to right now. In early April, the coffee company announced some new additions to its spring menu, including an Arctic Cherry Dunkin’ Energy drink, a Spring Munchkin Bucket, and a Marshmallow Donut.
Of course, Dunkin’s spring menu also includes the Dunkalatte, which we’re sure would cause a stir if it didn’t return this season. It might just be the perfect match for these trail mix snacks.
