Rich’s to Host ‘The Future of Fresh Baking’ Live Event

Rich Products (Rich’s) will host a live event, “The Future of Fresh Baking,” to dive into the latest cookie and doughnut insights and the innovative technologies driving the category’s continued growth.

Whether it’s the nostalgic appeal of a freshly baked cookie or the convenience and ease of a doughnut, the webinar will delve into the baked staples that appeal to people’s appetites across all ages and occasions.

Bill Heiler, senior manager of customer marketing at Rich, explained that the webinar will not only acquaint attendees with the facts and trends that are motivating today’s consumers, but will also allow attendees to interact with store-level technology consultants—“to have them perform demos and provide inspiration to turn insights into sales.”

As a result, attendees will learn specific strategies to execute at the store level—such as specific package sizes or flavor trends.

“We’re seeing a lot of interest in cookies and doughnuts. Both categories have been growing at above-average rates since 2022,” Heiler noted.

Part of the reason is economic, as consumers are spending more on “cheap treats” like cookies and doughnuts. Additionally, these categories are full of fun and novelty, inspiring retailers to create engaging promotions.

Finally, “Donuts aren’t just a breakfast baked good anymore,” Heiler explains. “There’s a lot of room for growth in packaging and variety options. That’s where Rich’s can provide a lot of value.”
