The 26th Bakery China Set to Spark Innovation in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, May 16, 2024 /CNW/ — The 26th Bakery China exhibition, co-organized by the China Association of Bakery and Confectionery Industry (CABCI) and Bakery China Exhibitions Co., Ltd., will take place from May 21-24, 2024, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. This year’s event will occupy 12 halls of the NECC, spanning 320,000 square meters, and will feature over 2,200 brands from nearly 30 countries and regions. Attendees can look forward to more than 100 conferences, forums, events, and competitions, with insights from numerous business leaders and bakery experts. The exhibition is expected to attract approximately 400,000 visits from over 130 countries and regions.

Bakery China, the largest professional exhibition in the global baking industry, is widely regarded as the leading platform for entering the Chinese market. Each year, the event showcases thousands of new products, technologies, services, and business models, serving as a hub for innovation. Bakery China aims to create a comprehensive business and trade platform that spans the entire industry supply chain. Here are some highlights for 2024:

International Presence: International exhibitors will make up over 20% of the total participants, with the international exhibition area expanding by more than 50%. National pavilions from countries like Italy and Japan will contribute to the diverse offerings.

Increased Attendance: Over 7,000 international visitors have pre-registered, tripling the previous year’s numbers. The International Trade Match-Making service at Int’l Hall 2.1 will provide enhanced support for global industry professionals.

Expanded Zones: The exhibition will feature over 20 categories highlighting industry landscapes and opportunities in the Ingredients, Equipment, and Packaging Solutions Zones. New zones will include pre-made bakery, OEM & Private Brands, dairy products, healthy bakery, and bakery plus. The Dairy Products Zone will host nearly 100 leading brands such as Lactalis, Nestle, and Arla.

New Initiatives: Three new zones will focus on innovation and sustainability: “Bakery China Innovation, Bakery China Power,” the Case Demonstration for Sustainable Industrial Development, and the Industrial Big Data Trends.

Digital Integration: iBakeryChina, a digital platform, will integrate business inquiries, industry innovation, knowledge exchange, trends, and exhibition services. With over 4,000 registered suppliers and connections to more than 500,000 buyers, iBakeryChina offers tens of thousands of SKUs. The event will also introduce an Indoor Navigation System @iBakeryChina to enhance user experience.

The exhibition will also host the 6th Pre-Made Bakery Festival, featuring over 300 supply chain brands and showcasing more than 1,000 new products and technologies. This event aims to highlight the latest market trends and insights. Bakery China continues to evolve as an ecosystem, fostering innovation and facilitating valuable commercial connections within the global baking community.
