It looks like the mochi donut craze in Central Ohio won’t be dying down anytime soon, and we’re not upset.
Let’s Mochi Donuts officially opened its doors in Delaware earlier this year at 16 South Sandusky Street.
The chain offers a variety of flavors in boxes of eight, 12, and 16. If you’re not familiar with mochi donuts, they’re made from a variety of rice flours that give them a unique springy, chewy texture similar to a cross between a cake donut or yeast donut and a funnel cake.
The new Delaware location also sells bubble tea and Korean corn dogs.
Let’s Mochi Donuts is one of many mochi shops that have popped up in the Columbus metro area recently. Mochi Shop, the first shop in Columbus dedicated exclusively to mochi donuts, transitioned from a pop-up to a brick-and-mortar location this year. Mochi Ring also opened a location in Northwest Columbus last year.
