Peace Put Co., Ltd. (Chairman and CEO: Ryota Hirako, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture), which operates the Japanese fresh donut specialty store “I’m Donut?”, will open its first overseas store “I’m Donut?” Times Square store in Times Square, New York, the United States on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 (local time).
“I’m donut? Times Square” will open in the heart of Times Square (Broadway and 45th Street), where people from all over the world gather.
In order to convey the unique charm of Japan, they have developed new products using alcohol such as “Wine Cream”, “Matcha Cream”, and “Ginger Chicken Teriyaki”. In addition, as a first attempt, the series also includes vegan donuts and PB&J (Peanut Butter and Jam) that target local food culture and needs.
The interior design of the store is based on the concept of exquisite “Japanese style” to create a Japanese-style feel. In contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city, our exquisite design inspired by the Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic allows you to immerse yourself in the world of our donuts. Of particular note are the counters made of large natural stones from a quarry in New York State and the eye-catching giant “I am a donut?” sign on the exterior.
All processes from dough mixing to frying, finishing, and preparing side dishes are carried out in the store’s open kitchen, where skilled craftsmen carefully create each dish. The design and space incorporate entertainment elements that match the location, and carefully consider the differences in altitude and lighting, allowing customers to appreciate the staff and the manufacturing process.
